ABOUT ME

Who Am I?

I am a practitioner who believes in the divine nature of one’s innate healing processes. We are multi- dimensional, energetic beings consisting of light and information. The purpose of my work is to harmonize and create coherent fields of this light and information to awaken that process within each person. I am able to hold space in a deeply transformational way to address the root of one’s imbalances at whatever level they be - spiritual, emotional, mental, or physical - to harmonize the nature of oneself.

The tools of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acutonics©, Tibetan singing bowls, aromatherapy, nutrition, and crystalline energies are ones I utilize to fine-tune the divine instrument of our physical and subtle bodies. These powerful vibrational tools create resonance with healing frequencies, assisting in reorganizing your field from dissonant and disorganized patterns into one of coherence. When our field is coherent, then healing can occur.

In 2008, I graduated from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA with a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I passed the National Board Examination by the National Committee for the Certification of Acupuncturists (NCCAOM) and am designated a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. For several years I continued on as a Teaching Assistant for the Acupuncture Program at Bastyr. I am licensed in the State of Washington as an East Asian Medicine Practitioner (EAMP) and in California as a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc).

As a Certified Matrix Energetics Practitioner, I integrate this powerful energetic modality into all of my sessions. It allows me to facilitate change, shift patterns, and create a state for transformation for my patients.

Additionally, I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in Washington and Florida and have been working with the body for over 15 years. Modalities include: Craniosacral therapy, Dr. Vodders MLD, Acupressure, Shiatsu, and Aromatherapy.

With a background as a Montessori teacher I am uniquely qualified - my experience in holistic education weaves with my practice of holistic medicine. My goal working with my students is teaching them to retain their magic. My goal working with my patients is teaching them to remember it. It gives me tremendous joy to be able to continue to offer my gifts to these magical beings and their families in my practice.

I have been fortunate to train with the world renowned Mary Elizabeth Wakefield in the specialty of Constitutional Facial Acupuncture. This modality is a further extension of the work I already practice, however placing additional focus on the face. Working gently and intuitively with areas of the face my patient would like to address, transforms not only the physical landscape, but the emotional and spiritual terrain as well. I continue to be amazed by the powerful changes, visible and subtle, initiated by this medicine.

Other areas of interest that I find fascinating and offer me other maps to deepen my knowledge of this lifelong study are that of yoga, the 5Rhythms, Chinese Face Reading and understanding patterns in one’s birth date using the Nine Star Ki system.

Banyan Acupuncture is socially and environmentally responsible, using products that are sustainable, recyclable, and renewable whenever possible.
